About Dr. Sasirekha D
Dr. Sasirekha D holds an MBBS from Stanley Medical College, Chennai, an MD in General Medicine (Dr. MGR Medical University), and an MD/DNB in Cardiology from Kilpauk Medical College and Frontier Lifeline Hospital Chennai. With over 25 years in clinical practice—16+ years in interventional cardiology—she is highly skilled in coronary angiography, angioplasty (including primary PCI), pacemaker implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), pericardiocentesis, fetal and 3D echocardiography, tissue Doppler, and strain imaging
She currently consults at Manipal Hospital and Columbia Asia Hospital Mysuru, and serves as President of the Cardiological Society of India, Mysuru Chapter. She also spearheads the Mysuru Premature ACS Registry studying heart attacks in patients under 45 .
